Stop Press: “Fight for Stella” 2010 Little Stella Rogers was just 17 months old last June when she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Since then she has had aggressive chemotherapy, major surgery and oral chemotherapy. This January she has had 3 weeks of radiotherapy. Despite the latest medical treatment her long term survival chances were thought to be low. However, her parents heard of a new but expensive anti-body treatment available in America, and started raising money for this. The Kentish Gazette started a campaign to raise money and Stella, who is now 2, is at this time (February 2010) receiving the treatment thanks to donations from the public and a loan from a children’s charity. Rotary Club of Canterbury was pleased to assist with a grant of £500. We all wish little Stella lots of luck and our good wishes for the future.
