Visitors to our evening meeting at Canterbury Rugby Club

Several visitors attended our speaker’s meeting yesterday evening at Canterbury Rugby Club – including author and expert on Mary Elmes, Bernard Wilson, and Yuganshu Nagori, originally from India. It’s always a great pleasure to welcome such visitors!

Our members have had the pleasure of hearing two talks from Bernard via Zoom, so it was wonderful to meet him in person at long last. Mary Elmes was a remarkable woman credited with saving many lives during the holocaust.

Yuganshu Nagori is actually a member of the Rotaract* Club of Indore Professionals (District 3040), which is based in the large Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. However, he has been studying here in the UK and recently completed his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Canterbury Christ Church University – so he is very much a local right now.

Yuganshu, known to friends as “Yug”, works as a supervisor in a local store. He’s hoping to build on his previous sales and business development experience to become a Business Consultant and is currently looking for positions in business development. Yug plans to be visiting our club regularly while here in the UK. Like many members of Rotaract, he also hopes one day to become a Rotarian!

*For those that don’t know much about Rotaract – Rotaract clubs are found all around the world, with Rotaract orginally starting as a Rotary International Youth Programme. To learn more about Rotaract, click here

You can visit the Facebook page of the Rotaract Club of Indore Professionals here.

(We hope to share an article about yesterday’s talk by the Rev. Patrick Irwin soon.)
