A visitor from Berkhamstead joins us for our lunchtime meeting

Rotarians from Rotary Clubs all around the world can join one of our meetings simply by getting in touch with us. Today we had the pleasure of hosting a visitor from a little closer to home – Berkhamstead in Hertfordshire!

Mike Hart, from the Rotary Club of Berkhamstead, recently got in touch with our President, Maxine Blades – he was visiting family in the area and was interested in attending a meeting. He was all the more enthused when he heard that we would be having a talk about trains, which he also has an interest in (more about that talk in a few days time).

We were delighted to welcome Mike to our meeting and hear about him and his club. Maxine was very pleased to hand over a Rotary pennant (flag). Mike was also invited by members to a future trip with our Mini Group Study Exchange visitors when we hope to see the Sir Keith Park locomotive in Tunbridge Wells.

If you live more locally and would be interested in finding out more about our club and its activities, why not think about becoming a friend of our club? To find out more click here.

You can find out more about Berkhamstead Rotary Club  from its website, here.
