Vocational trip: Tenterden’s Steam Railway

A group of our club’s members were chuffed to get all steamed-up for a fish and chip lunch on one of Kent’s preserved railways recently.

Organised by Past President Mike Talbot, the group of Rotarians and their partners assembled at Tenterden Station to board the 1pm service to Bodiam. The gentle amble through the countryside was the perfect way to enjoy the fresh and perfectly cooked fish and chip lunch.

After a brief stop at Bodiam the intrepid travellers returned to Tenterden and toured the station’s museum before returning to Canterbury. A good time was had by all and everyone gave Mike the green light to whistle up a similar day out soon.
