Celebrating Valentine’s Day & an anniversary

Love is in the air on Valentine’s Day. Canterbury Rotary Club member, Marjorie Lyle and her husband Lawrence were honoured at a Valentine’s Day supper in the year they celebrate their 70th Wedding Anniversary.

Earlier this month Marjorie, who was our Club’s first female Member, celebrated her 93rd birthday. The couple were presented with a red rose bush at an evening of romantic poetry and prose.

A report about the Valentine’s Supper, which was held on the 12th at the Cricket Club, will be posted shortly – watch this space!
