Canterbury Rotarians united in fundraising for Ukraine

Rotarians from Canterbury’s three Rotary clubs are united in their support for Ukraine and will be collecting funds for the Disasters Emergency Committee’s (DEC) appeal this Saturday in Canterbury Town Centre.

**UPDATE: We have now added the option to donate via paypal or card to our new appeal page: https://www.rotarycanterbury.org.uk/rotary-club//ukraineappeal/**

The unfolding tragedy in Ukraine is heartbreaking to see on our TV screens and social media. Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Canterbury, Rotary Club of Canterbury Sunrise and Forest of Blean Rotary Club are all pooling their efforts in their support for those that are suffering and are keen raise as much as they can for the Disasters Emergency Committee’s work to provide humanitarian aid.

People are in need of food, water, shelter and medical assistance – who wasn’t moved to hear reports of lack of water and food?

Peace is a cornerstone of Rotary’s mission. Our collectors will be out with their buckets near Whitefriars and the surrounding area in the city centre between 10am and 5pm on Saturday 12th March. Look out for us, our signs & collection boxes!

We would really appreciate your support for our fundraising efforts. Please bring along all that spare change that has been rattling around at the bottom of pockets & bags – but don’t worry, we would be more than delighted to accept notes…and we hope to have a contactless payment option available too.

If you’re unable to visit our stand on Saturday you can also support us from the comfort of your own home by paying into our bank account as below:

Your support is truly appreciated. This is a chance for the people of Canterbury to show their support for the people suffering in Ukraine.
