Friendly Snowman helps with Lord Mayor’s collection!

Collectors helping collect for the Lord Mayor of Canterbury’s Gift Fund earlier this month were joined by a friendly Snowman. He proved a hit with youngsters, several of whom took photos with him!

It’s always nice to have something eye-catching when you’re collecting for a cause – and what better than a friendly Snowman – who happens to be quite tall! We’re delighted he came along; the cold weather, though, may have been more suited to him that the other collectors!

In case you wondered, they were collecting for the Lord Mayor of Canterbury’s Christmas Gift Fund, which is “a local charity that has been established for 70 years and distributes gifts in the name of the Lord Mayor to elderly, isolated, vulnerable and needy individuals and families in Canterbury and the surrounding villages.”

Find out more about the Gift Fund here

(In case anyone is wondering, yes, the Snowman is none other than our Past President Tim Brett. Tim also poses as Mr Duck during our Duck Race each year.)
