Santa’s sleigh – Rotary Club of Canterbury Sunrise

Each year in the run-up to Christmas members of the Rotary Club of Canterbury Sunrise (one of two other Rotary Clubs in Canterbury beside ours) tour many of the residential streets in the city with ‘Santa’s Sleigh’.

The sleigh plays Christmas music and members of the club and associates knock on doors as the sleigh goes past, inviting the residents to contribute to the bucket collection. The sight of Santa and his sleigh is something that many youngsters look forward to!

This year proceeds from the collection are mainly going towards East Kent Dyslexia Support, The Kent Association for the Blind (KAB) and the Canterbury Food Bank. Other Rotary charities are supported as well.

Santa is also collecting in-date tinned food for the Canterbury Food Bank.

For a PDF file with more details of the streets that the Sleigh will visit, please click here or see our facebook post here
