Rotary: bridging us around the world!

People always say it’s a small world – and it’s an even smaller world if you’re a Rotarian!

The other day one of our Members, Nan Miller, was collecting for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal at Tesco’s in Canterbury when a lady came up to her. They got talking about the poppies and it turned out that the lady, Shaila Rahman, is President Elect of the Rotary Club of Baridhara Sunrise in Bangladesh! Currently visiting Canterbury, Shaila has already asked Nan to attend one of her club’s online meetings.

Being part of a global network – with friendly Rotarians all around the world – is just one of the many benefits of being a member of Rotary!
