Remembrance Day 2021

This year, Canterbury Forest of Blean President David Milham laid the Rotary wreath at the Canterbury remembrance ceremony held in the city yesterday.

David laid the wreath on behalf of all three Canterbury clubs: Forest of Blean, Canterbury Rotary and Canterbury Sunrise. Our President, Stephen Thompson, and President Elect of Forest of Blean, Don Cockrill, joined the members of the public at the event, while President of Canterbury Sunrise, Jarle Tatt, laid the wreath at the Boughton Golf Club.

In past years the Presidents of the three clubs joined local dignitaries and other representatives of the community in the Remembrance Day procession; last year Covid meant the ceremony had a very limited number of attendees.
