Supporting the poppy appeal 2018

Yet again our club will be supporting the Royal British Legion’s Poppy appeal by selling poppies.

Look out for our members who will have Rotary tabards and will be selling the poppies at various venues around Canterbury.

The Poppy Appeal is the Royal British Legion’s biggest fundraising campaign. It’s held every year in November, the period of Remembrance. This year it is special as it marks 100 years since the the end of the First World War.

The funds raised are used to support members of the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, veterans and their families.

For further information about the appeal, the Legion, and the way the money is spent, please click here. You can also make donations online through their web site.
