Amelia and Emma set off for the trip earlier in September, when they headed to Leuven in Belgium to be hosted by our Pentangular partner Rotary Club there.
Their host family, Stefan and Ann, were both “very welcoming” and they got along “very well” with the other students on the trip. While out there they managed trips to Brussels, and Bruges, which they described as “beautiful and very culturally interesting”. They enjoyed a number of experiences including a boat trip and a visit to the European Parliament – and they also visited Antwerp.
In a sweet message to us they thank those involved “for organising this brilliant opportunity”, We hope they will manage to maintain the friendships they have forged and continue to embrace the cultural experiences gained from their trip.
Our members hope to hear from Amelia and Emma in the future – ‘though given they are studying in two different places it might be tricky to coordinate!
