A Thank You message from Marie Curie Southeast

“Thanks” are always gratefully received – and we are happy to pass them on too! So we are very happy to pass on a Thank You message from Marie Curie Southeast to all the members of public who gave so generously to the collection at Morrisons.

We admit it was some weeks ago that we received a Thank You message from Florin Diaconu, the Community Fundraiser for Marie Curie in our area. In his message to our then President Tony Loughran he wrote how he wanted to extend his “heartfelt gratitude” to our club for the “remarkable” contribution of £1257 towards their Great Daffodil Appeal. Florin tells us this will cover “for over 63 hours of hands-on nursing in the local community”.

We are delighted by this and truly want to thank every one who gave a donation. You can continue to support the charity if wish by visiting their website.

As Florin says, “our nurses bring light in the darkest hours”.
