Collecting for The Lord Mayor of Canterbury’s Christmas Gift Fund

Even the winter chill doesn’t stop our Rotarians from doing their bit for the community. Members of our club were out in the cold weather yesterday assisting with the collection for the Lord Mayor of Canterbury’s Christmas Gift Fund Collection.

The charity is run by local people for the benefit of local people. This year about 500 grocery parcels will be distributed in the name of the Lord Mayor to elderly, isolated, vulnerable and needy individuals and families in Canterbury and the surrounding villages.

Our current Lord Mayor, Rosemary Doyle, is a member of our club and it’s an honour to help her with this very worthy cause.
