Supporting lip reading classes for the deaf in Canterbury

When people are deaf it’s easy for them to feel left out and lonely. Lip reading can help restore their ability to communicate.

Our Club had just donated £500 to Hi Kent help support Lip Reading Classes for the deaf in Canterbury.

Hi Kent is a local charity for the deaf and hard of hearing. It offers a range of services and support, including aftercare clinics for hearing aid users and (free) lip reading classes. The charity also teaches British Sign Language (Levels 1, 2 and 3) and runs Deaf Awareness Courses.

You can read more about Hi Kent and its activities here.
