Canterbury Forest of Blean – invitation to induction

Our President, Sharon Jordan, was invited by the Rotary Club of Canterbury Forest of Blean to attend the induction of Joanna (Jo) Nolan and Georgina Baker. The induction was held yesterday evening at at Boughton Golf Club.

With the induction of the two new members, the Forest of Blean Club now becomes a dual gender club, just like our own.

Jo is a former member of our Club and daughter of one of our Past Presidents, the late Derek Evans (who was President from 1982-1983). Georgina is a former member of the Rotary Club of Chestfield.

Sharon was joined at the event by one of our Club’s Past Presidents, Geoff Goodban. Also at the event was the President of Chestfield Rotary Club, Robert Sissons.

The Rotary Club of the Forest of Blean, our own Club and the Rotary Club of Canterbury Sunrise are the three Rotary Clubs of Canterbury. We often come together for fundraising or other activities, especially for events that support the local community. We look forward to working with Jo and Georgina and other Canterbury rotarians during such activities.
