Duck Race 2023 – time for counting in!

It’s that time of year again when our members helped count our little yellow ducks back in.

When we launched over 4,000 ducks into the Stour at Canterbury’s Westgate Gardens for our Annual Duck Race fundraiser & community event in September, we knew we would have to count as many back in before they are put away until next year.

So, as usual, a small team of members gathered together for this task, organised by Rotarian Raj Dasan and joined by our President Rosemary Doyle.

After many years of doing this we have a good system going, with all the ducks put back into boxes sorted by number. As an additional check we usually also try to count ducks out just before the race.

With thanks to all that took part!
