Donation to Disabled Equipment Sent Overseas (DESO)

A little while ago we sent a donation to Donation to Disabled Equipment Sent Overseas (DESO), and it was a great pleasure to receive a letter of thanks from the charity.

DESO is a Canterbury-based charity that provides special equipment, support, education, and training to physically challenged adults and children in Ghana, its aim being to help them meet their full potential. It also wants to change attitudes towards people with physical challenges.

Back in 2018 we heard about the work of DESO from its remarkable founder, Mavis Hyde. Since then we have kept up with its news and recently our International Committee agreed to send a donation of £350.

For more about DESO, visit their website. The team are always keen to hear about donations and volunteers.
