Cyclone Idai: Collection update

A big thank you to the visitors and people of Canterbury who popped donations into the collection for ShelterBox, one of the charities helping those affected by the devastating Cyclone Idai.

A combined collection effort from our members, members of Canterbury Inner Wheel and the Rotary Club of Canterbury Sunrise has helped to raise funds for ShelterBox, which helps provide emergency shelter and tools for families following disasters. As regular readers will know, our Club has already provided a donation to cover the cost of one ShelterBox. Together with an anonymous donation and gift aid the latest collection will help cover the cost of another.

We’ll be out again with our collection on Saturday 6th April in Canterbury City Centre. Help us to provide even more ShelterBoxes. Please be as generous as you can – your donation can make a real difference to those affected by such events.

You can also make a direct donation to ShelterBox and find out more about their work via their web site: https://www.shelterbox.org/
