Rotary Christmas Collection 2017

Just wanted to give a big THANK YOU to members of the public who donated to our Christmas collection. Every little adds up and helps us to help others.

Just some of the local groups that we’ve helped in the past include Porchlight, Prince of Wales Youth Club, Scrine Foundation, Hi Kent, Greenhills Gymnastics Club, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Stroke Awareness, Try Angle Awards, Kids Out, Friends of Mental Health and the Parkinson Disease Society. We have also helped support a number of international charities and projects, including Polio Plus, Water Aid and Aqua Aid boxes, Shelterboxes (Ghana floods), Bangladesh Cyclone, Bolivian Floods, Burma cyclone, Seeds for Africa, Mali Project, Tools for Self Reliance, Hope Romania, Smile Malawi, Swinfen Charitable Trust, Dodi Papase Hospital, Health for All, Classrooms in Tanzania, Deso disable equipment, Ghana…and many, many more.

Every penny that you give is much appreciated – and on a cold and windy day a smile in the direction of our volunteers warms their hearts too! We also love it when members of the public come up and tell us how we’ve helped them or their organization in the past. One lady told us about our support for Cruse Bereavement Centre, and another gentleman told us how Rotary had helped him many years ago.

Today we were at Morrisons. Thanks to Morrisons’ kind support we hope to be back there on the 18th and 19th December – helping with the packing this time, so please be as generous as you can!
