Donation towards school literature books

Although it’s not something that we regularly do, our Club was pleased to be able to make a donation towards books for students at Dover Grammar School for Girls following a request from staff at the school.

Our vocational committee is one of three service communities at our club and one of its aims is to help young people develop their potential. Following a request from the school, passed on via committee member Brian Dobinson, our vocational committee agreed, on this occasion, to make a donation towards English reading books for the school. Thanks to our networks we were also able to connect with Leigh Saunders of Leighs Foundation who kindly agreed to match our donation.

The school has now received our donation and has already sent a message of thanks.
