Item for auction: ‘The Rotarian’ by Sue Macartney Snape

We are delighted to have received a limited edition print of a coloured sketch entitled ‘The Rotarian’ by satirical artist Sue Macartney Snape which we will be auctioning in aid of underprivileged students attending Juba School in South Sudan.
This picture is like one that was part of a tongue-in-cheek series in the Telegraph newspaper on Social Stereotypes. The picture we have is numbered 39/150 and is in a light wood frame.  The coloured sketch is accompanied by the text: “Convivial and kind. Despite lots of jokes about being in Rotary in order to get away from the wife, he is very serious about doing good. Shelterbox, Polio etc.” Frame 12.5 in x 16.5 in approx.

Perhaps you’re a Rotarian or Inner Wheel member, or a relative or colleague of a Rotarian and you’d like to get this as a present for them? The funds raised from the auction will go towards supporting underprivileged students in a school in Juba, South Sudan.

All bids must be received by email to info@rotarycanterbury.org.uk by midnight on Friday 14 December.  Please include your full contact details with your bid.
