Kids Out to Wingham Wildlife Park

School Outing

On June 8th, members of the Community Service Committee of Canterbury Rotary Club, assisted by two students from the King’s School, took out a class of pupils from St Nicholas School on a visit to Wingham Wildlife Park.

In previous years successful visits had been to Howletts Wild Animal Park at Littlebourne, but the children found a greater deal of pleasure, and stimulus, in the chance to interact with the animals which Wingham affords.

As on each occasion the members of the Club were greatly impressed by the total dedication and caring attitude of the staff of the School.

About the School

St Nicholas is a community day special school providing education for 187 children and young people who have special educational needs aged between 4 and 19.

The school caters for a wide range of learning disabilities – severe learning difficulties, profound learning difficulties, complex learning difficulties, autism and sensory impairment.
