President’s Buffet 2012

On Sunday 5th August, some 70 Rotarians, spouses and friends attended a Buffet Lunch at President Robert’s home at Maitland Farm, Lenham.  After a couple of thunder showers in the morning the weather improved and there was no rain in the afternoon.

We all enjoyed a superb buffet lunch, produced by Sheila Boyd-Howell and Pat Hanson.  It was topped off with local strawberries and raspberries.

District Governor Stewart Grainger and his wife Sheila were honoured guests at the event.  After the meal, over £450 was collected for the President’s charities.

Visitors were also shown a barn filled with tons of rapeseed (just harvested from a nearby field) which was being dried by means of a hot air tunnel blower.

Everyone enjoyed this first event that President Robert has hosted in his 2012-2013 calendar.
