Rotary Supports Demelza House

On June 17th Canterbury Rotary Club presented a cheque for £2,000 to David Holmes, East Kent Community Fundraiser for Demelza House, the childrens’ hospice.

The funds were raised from four sources:  a substantial sum from the bucket collection at the Top Choir Kent 2014 competition, a Barbecue at the President’s house, Sharon’s BBQ Caption competition and Sailor Ted.     In addition to this it was announced that the Past President’s wife Sheila has over the past couple of years donated her “speech” monies to Demelza House, making her own total raised to date of £2,000.
