Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end of life charity, and is a cause our club regularly helps to support (see here, for example).
This year around 13 members of our Club manned Marie Curie collection boxes at Morrisons in Canterbury. We’re very grateful to all the members of the public that gave so generously to support this important cause.
“Our thanks to Morrisons who allowed us to collect on their premises and, more importantly, allowed us to collect inside the store rather than in the very cold, wet and drafty area outside” said Richard Kemball-Cook, chair of our Community & Vocational Service Committee. “My thanks go to Club members Jim, Gill, Alastair, Nan & Brian who did two sessions each, and to Tony, Jan, Stephen, Alan & Andrew, who each did a single session. Finally, thanks also go to Philippa Davies and Jeremy Barford, both Friends of the Rotary Club of Canterbury.”
