Our Club has a long tradition of supporting young people living in the Canterbury District by providing foreign travel opportunities linked to service both within the local community and internationally. One of these is the annual Mini Group Study Exchange (MGSE) which provides a chance for two people living, working or studying in Canterbury, aged between 18 and 25, to join with others of the same age from our four continental Contact Clubs in Leuven (Belgium), Leiden (Holland), Ludenscheid (Germany) and St Quentin (France), for a week of social, vocational and sporting events.
This year it is the turn of the Rotary Club of Leuven to host the MGSE from Sunday August 27th till Saturday September 2nd.
Applications are being sought from young people from the Canterbury area, aged between 18-25, looking to broaden their horizons, who are interested in international cooperation, who would like to be an ambassador for Canterbury Rotary and who wish to improve their CVs, to apply for a place on the 2023 MGSE.
Applicants will only require spending money as our Club will pay all the registration, travel and participation costs.
The deadline for applications is Friday 26th May.
Further details and an MGSE application form can be found in the Young People section of the Club’s website at: www.rotarycanterbury.org.uk/activities/mgse/ – or by emailing: mgse@rotarycanterbury.org.uk.
If you know of any young people who might be interested in this fantastic opportunity, please forward them the details.
