This is a geat acheivement and we congratulate the team on their award. Not only were they announced National Champs, but they won the award for best pit display too!
Because of study commitments the team is now just three: Tom, Engineering Manager; Javier, Team Principal, and Evie, Enterprise Manager. The youngsters have had to put in a lot of effort to get to this stage – not only did they have to design, build and race their car to very strict specifications, but they had to create their pit display and answer questions from the judges. They have also had to get partners/sponsors and supporters on board, working with them as needed in the build up to the National Finals. As they say in their twitter message “It’s taken 3 years of hard work to get to this point. Never give up on your dreams!”
We have supported Eclipse from the outset – and before them team Evolve (who went on to be World Champions). We’ve always admired their dedication – all while studying of course – and also their activities to engage younger children in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
Their next challenge is to prepare for the World Finals in Singapore! That means even more effort and it also means they need to get more sponsors on board. If you or your company would like to know more about sponsoring the team, see here.
