Mock interviews for students at Canterbury College

Several of our members were very pleased to be able to help some students at Canterbury a little while ago with mock interviews, a valuable way for students to get interview experience.

There are many ways that Rotarians can help the community – for instance by organising events, fundraising, doing physical activities and giving their time. Five of our members (Brian Dobinson, Peter Hermitage, Raj Dasan and Mary McGeary) did the latter when they offered to help Canterbury College with mock interviews for their agricultural and horticultural students. They were joined by our President’s wife, Jane Loughran. In all, around 20-25 students took part in the interviews which were organised by Rachel Smith from the College. “The students were very good,” said Brian. Speaking on behalf of the interviewers, he added: “Everyone had an enjoyable time and found it very interesting”.
